Emergency Preparedness Platform

Our vision is to save lives and reduce suffering by using technology to improve the ways humanitarian agencies prepare for and respond to disasters – creating quicker, more efficient responses before or immediately after a disaster strikes.

The Facts

Between 1992 and 2012 there have been 1.3 million deaths caused by natural disasters. If better preparedness plans were in place, thousands of lives could have been saved. Funding is only getting to those in need after a crisis hits.

We need to change the way we work

Far more needs to be done to prepare for emergencies and meet people’s immediate needs when disaster strikes.

The status quo can no longer continue. We need new ways of working that will help us to better prepare against disasters and save lives.
